World Series: Kyle Schwarber Did What the Cubs Couldn’t
The final out of the 2016 World Series came in Game 7 when Kyle Schwarber (above), as was the Cubs, failed to connect on a potential game-tying home run. Now Schwarber has his World Series championship to be remembered by as he has yet to be enshrined alongside the 2015 and 2016 World Series winners.

I haven’t seen the game but I do know how the Cubs got it. The Cubs had a lot of pitching and an offense coming at them. Yes, they had to go to Schwarber to get the homer. Then there was the one pitch Schwarber didn’t hit. Yes, it was the one pitch that took a different angle.
This is the problem with our baseball. It is so easy to say that it is a bad thing that there is no perfect World Series team. How is Schwarber getting a better look at getting by the Cardinals if his first two at-bats were a failure?
I don’t think Schwarber is a future Hall of Famer. I just don’t know if he’ll get enough major league at bats before his career ends. That’s a shame since he’s been outstanding so far in his career.
