Formula 1’s U.S. Grand Prix in Austin Marks Its 10th Year
Formula 1 will return to Austin, Texas this year for its tenth U.S. Grand Prix, the event will be held on the streets of downtown Austin on Sunday, March 13th, 2015.
The Austin circuit has won the prestigious championship in the previous 10 years, the first victory of the ‘World Series’ in the World Championship in the United States was in 2000. Last year’s race proved to be the last F1 race in the United States until 2017 when the United States Grand Prix is held at the Circuit of the Americas.
In 2014 Formula 1 was held in China, followed by Abu Dhabi in 2015 and Istanbul in 2016. In 2016 the event was hosted by Argentina in Buenos Aires, this will be the 20’th time that the grand-prix will be held in Latin America, and the fifth time on the United States soil.
The F1 teams that make the trip to Austin every year will be on hand to show the fans what Formula 1 is all about. The team owner Paul Smart, who owns Smart GP is very much looking forward to his team’s first Grand Prix in Austin.

This year’s F1 Grand Prix will be won by Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull Racing Team. The German driver is the only driver in F1 to win back-to-back titles with each victory coming in Australia in 2014 and Singapore in 2015.
Sebastian Vettel, who will drive for Red Bull Racing in the Grand Prix in his hometown of Austin:
